Gwen, I know what you mean. Not a lot a extra spare money, and my
Willis Albert is just about like you William. They must have come from
No-where. I'm told he had 14 brothers and 1 sister, but sure can't find
any trace of them. Not even sure if I have all his children. Heard
there might be others, and there is an 11 yr. age difference in the two
I have. With so many Chandler's from NC, KY, and MO, you'd think
once-in-while, some would connect.
I'm in the process of making some webpages of my line of the Chandler
Genealogy, starting with Willis Albert. This may take some time, since
I'm doing it by hand. Can't up load things with a webtv.. I haven't
gotten very far, but your sure welcome to look at what I've gotten done
so far. I am doing an index of all the names that come up, as I do each
page. I don't have it connected yet. I'll go in and tidy it up, and
get it connected.

I have also wondered if the Chandler Association would be worth the money.
As a single income family I have to watch every penny. I've tried to
investigate my William Chandler who married into the Nichols family in
Illinois and have been referred to the association. But I've been hesitant
to proceed since William really seems to have come from nowhere. I wanted
to do more investigating before I spent more money.
