Well I am an old guy and not very good with a PC. I have placed most of what I Know about
the Chandlers and Georges on my George Family Tree on
Ancestry.com which was to make the
Public Tree available on line. My handle again is georgedl1. There are still a lot of
Georges in Texas and if you want that I will invite you to see my Personal Tree on
Ancestry.com. I have located most of them 1830-1930 and some to the present. My hangup is
finding them before 1830. They should be in Indiana based on the pob of their children in
the 1811-1829 period. The Chandler Family association doesn't answer questions from
non members and you can't join unless you prove your tie in to a Chandler. sort of a
catch 22. There should be a Central Clearing House for the Chandlers that has all the
available information so they can sort it out! The State and Territorial Censuses were
really just Enumerations, a count w/o names of males over 21 in this area so they
don't help. There were lots of
Georges and Chandlers in Kentucky and Ohio in 1820 Census, but family members were shown
by only a check mark. I need names and dates to replace those checkmarks and get back to
1790. My mother was a McDonald and that line had Chandlers on the tree branches too.

had not gathered anything in the
other states except for VA, some NC and TX and Graves Co, KY. Tell me about
your Texas group. There is a patriotic society named for Welcome Chandler. I
would be glad to search some of the Texas records if you still need
information from here. 1835 is very early in Texas. Someone in that group
might qualify for Sons or Daughters of the Republic of Texas. My Chandlers
in Texas were in Houston and Leon counties.
How about sending me a pedigree chart or even some family sheets and I will
look for more on your line as I look for more on my line.
Good to hear from you!
