Who is the father of William Chandler? Isn't that Henry?
I wonder how your line goes Ed? Mine goes from William and Annis to Thomas
and Hannah to Capt. John and Hannah to Abiel and Hepzibah to David and Abial
(both cousins) to William Farnsworth and Hepsibah Chandler...which is where
my Chandler line ends and goes on to Farnsworth then to Nichols to Hallett
to Kitts to Nelson and then to Martin.
Funny how I ended up living only a few miles from Andover and not that far
from Roxbury seeing as I was born in California into a military family and
moved to Colorado, back to California to Virginia to North Carolina back to
California then to Massachusetts. The spent 20 years in service myself in
places like Texas, Mississippi, Germany, Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan,
Arizona, back to Mississippi, to New Hampshire, back to Mississippi, then to
Korea, to New Mexico, and finally back to Massachusetts.
Anyway, I firmly believe everyone is related in some form or another...the
fun part is finding the link to that form or another.

There would have to be several such books since all Chandlers are not blood
relatives no matter how far back you go. Several of the Chandler lines are
William and Annis Chandler from Bishop Stortsford, Herts and Roxbury, Mass:
an
Edmund Chandler , either from Pa or Mass, the John Chandler from Va whose
descendants are being traced by the Chandler Family Assoc, and several
others I am
only vaguely aware of.
There is an interesting set of books "The Tallow Chandlers of London' ,
which
lists lots of Chandler going back to the 11th century.
Hope this helps.
