CEMETERIES: John Chandler Cemetery, Taylor Co., Kentucky old Green Co., KY
I have some directions to the John Chandler Cem. The book these came from
was a very old book, called the Chandler family, or something like that.
John Chandler Cemetery ? mile NE of Fairview school on New Salem Church
road, and on North side of road in grove of trees on Willard ,looks like
Mendell's, place. (north of Campbellsville Ky., on Hodgenville Road Hwy
#210).
These are all the stones to be found with inscriptions. The are others with
just --------- slabs------in row of Horatio there are two others which might
be parents of Horatio.
Unless there are other burying grounds, and it is not thought probable, in
as much as this was the home place, John and Elizabeth Chandler are buried
here; probably Horatio's first wife and several infants.
I didn't make a note of the book this is from. It is may bekept at the state
archive in Frankfort. I couldn't read how many miles NE it is. The copy wass
not so good.
