Hello, everyone, I just signed on, and thought I'd post my Chandlers in
hope of making a connection. My g-g-grandmother was Eliza Ann Chandler,
born April 16, 1843 in SC. I'm not sure of the county, but I have seen
references to Edgecombe and Edgefield. Her father was Thomas Chandler,
mother unknown. Eliza married Robert Randolph Huddleston during the Civil
War, and they later moved to Mecklenburg County, NC, where Eliza died in
1920. Her death certificate states that her father Thomas was born in
Maryland. I know she had at least one sister, referred to as "Miss A.E."
in a letter, and a brother named Charlie, who was killed in a wagon
accident in Texas. And that's about all I know. I would greatly
appreciate any leads or connections with this elusive group - Thanks so
much!
