***Hi,
***I am a new subscriber and looking for someone that might have a
***piece to this puzzle. My Mary Cook married a Chandler, about
***1885 (their first child was born in 1886) in Carroll County, GA.
*** In 1891, her father, Burton Cook sold her some land and her
***name at that time is Mary Chandler. But, in 1900, she is
***remarried and living in Heard County--but she has three children
***with her, who are sons and daughters of hers and they are
***Chandlers--Annie, Grover and Mary J. I don't know the first
***name of the Chandler that Mary married because they never appear
***on a census together---1880 she is still at home and by 1900,
***she is remarried. Does anyone know anything about this
***Chandler family or have any information that might help me? Thanks.
***
***Michelle
Have you tried this microfilm available from the Family History Library?
Title Marriage records, 1827-1950
Authors Georgia. Probate Court (Carroll County) (Main Author)

Of course they have probate and land records too, if they might help.

You probably know there was a Chandler family not too far away in the 1880
census--that of Phil and Nicie Jane Chandler. There were sons Thomas, 20;
George, 18; and Reuben, 12 who I suppose might be candidates. There's a
cemetery book and supplement for Carroll County. I have no idea if this
Chandler might be found there, but there didn't seem to be too many
Chandlers in Carroll County in the 1880 census, so maybe there would be one
in the book(s) whose dates would be a clue. Maybe there's someone you could
contact through a Rootsweb list or message board for Carroll County who
could do a lookup--I imagine the books are at the Carroll County
Genealogical Society--maybe they'd do a lookup.
