First something which might be of interest to you as well as others on this
list since you mentioned that_The Chandler Family_ is a rare book. The
George Chandler book is available not only as a reprint from NEHGS, but on
CD from Broderbund (Family Tree Maker) and it is on sale right now for
$10--regularly $30. It is on CD # 207, Local and Family Histories:
Massachusetts, 1620-1930.

This couple is found in George Chandler's book, and he does say that Hannah
is the dau. of Thomas and Hannah Goffe Chandler.
George Chandler does not give a birthdate for Hannah, but says she was the
dau. of John Goffe, prob. b. Boston, 1701, so perhaps you can approach it
from that end.
The birthdate for Thomas is given as 7 Dec., 1716.
email me if you are interested in further details from the George Chandler
book.

Subject: [CHANDLER] Hannah Chandler, 1746, Andover, MA m. Stephen
Peabody
Greetings,
I am writing in hopes of finding inforamation about the parents
(and their
birthdates) of Hannah Chandler, of Andover, MA, b. 1746. She married Col.
Stephen Peabody, who fought w/ Stark at Bennington, in the Revolutionary
war, and one of her children was Dr. Stephen Peabody, who married Martha
Trow. They all lived in Essex, MA.
My understanding is that Hannah's father was Thomas Chandler, and that he
married Hannah Goffe--I think that she may have been from NH, but
I am not
certain. My understanding, from John Chandler at Columbia, is that
information about these persons can be found in the Chandler Genealogy,
Descendents of William and Annis Chandler--a rare book and
difficult to make
look-ups in.
Anyway, any information you can supply would be greatly
appreciated, and I
would be happy to share any information I might happen to have on their
descendents.
Thanks for your help,
Erik Hanson
