I don't know the source of this particular information as it appears to
conflict in some particulars with what is generally accepted.
G. Andrews Moriarty contributed an article to the Register (Vo.. 85, # 3,
April, 1931), "Ancestry of William Chandler of Roxbury, Mass." which gives
this date for bp. at Bishops-Stortford, Herts, NOT Hertfordshire (p. 142).
Moriarty quotes Roxbury Land & Church Records for the date of death.
William is said to have come to New England--to Roxbury--in 1637, not 1629
(which, 1629, would have been rather early for a migration to that place).
The baptism of Annis is found as you have it in Moriarty's article, p. 142,
and on p. 143 Moriarty quotes Roxbury church records giving the death date
you have. She married twice subsequent to William's death.
A somewhat fuller treatment of William is Given in George Chandler's
_Chandler Family_(Boston, 1872) which is available on CD from Broderbund
(#207) and is available as a high quality reprint from NEHGS, but it looks
to me as though Moriarty was probably the misquoted source for what you have
here.
