Solomon died in Dec 1860 in Tyler County, age 61. Margaret died about the same time at age
57. The timing and relatively young ages suggest the possibility of a communicable
disease.
Solomon had Chancey's Mill on the banks of Wolf Creek near where it runs into the
Nueces near Jordan's Ferry. It seems likely that they were buried there. The site may
now be under water.
I wonder if the Texas Archaeology and History folks have info on what should be a historic
location. It should have been studied as part of the prep work for the dam.
