Welcome Mary Jackson and Darrel Boyt...
My impression is that most list members at the moment are researching
CHAMPION lines in the U.S.; nevertheless, you never know, so here are my
Cornish CHAMPION's. With a couple of exceptions, they are all from in
and around Uny Lelant, although a couple of the baptisms took place in
St. Ives.
Joseph CHAMPION born abt. 1680 Ludgvan
m. Ann NICHOLS
Joseph CHAMPION born 1708 Uny Lelant
m. Margaret PENBERTHY
Joseph CHAMPION born 19 Nov. 1738 Uny Lelant
Alice THOMAS
William Champion born 22 May 1781 Uny Lelant
m. Hannah PENBERTHY
Isaac CHAMPION born 10 July 1814 Uny Lelant (Tin miner)
m. Elizabeth TREVORROW
Isaac and Elizabeth's children are...
Mary Hannah bpt. 3 Feb. 1839 Trelion in St. Ives
John Trevorrow bpt. 28 June 1840 Chyangweal
Alice Bamfield bpt. 10 Aug. 1844 Chyangweal
Martha Jane bpt. 30 Apr. 1848 Chyangweal
William bpt. 13 Jan. 1850 Chyangweal
Martha Jane is my g grandmother. She married a William Charles NICHOLAS
in Penzance in 1885. While I don't have other children identified yet
for the earlier marriages, I do have marriage dates and the dates of
birth for some of the wives.
Hope to hear from someone.
Best regards.......Ken in Oakland, California (still cool and foggy
today)
