Janice,
I have PA Champions too. My GGGrandfather was James Franklin Champion
1815-1881 m. Mariah Polly Dorwort/Doworther 1812-1894. They were in Union
TWP, Jefferson Co, PA during the 1850 Census.
Children:
John Stephen
Thomas James
Mary (Ann)
Nancy Jane
Anything sound familiar?

Janice,
Pardon my intrusion into this exchange, but I have seen your posting on
the Champion forum concerning the will of Joseph CHAMPION, of WV which
mentions his brother James CHAMPION. I am wondering if this could be the
James CHAMPION I am looking for who moved to PA abt 1787 and died there
in 1817. Names of James's children match up with names of Joseph's
siblings. These same names are repeated through the generations.
Judith
