You know, Nancy! There is always a "delete" button and these grouches can
use it. Don't let them bother you.
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Subject: [CHAMPION] Message From Hostess
Good Evening,
Please let me take this opportunity to make a statement to the list.
I was not
aware that Rootsweb had sent out the letter asking that the list
members not send posts concerning the current situation. Call it ignorance
on my part; whatever you like, but I did not know. At the same time, I
should have know that my sending the speech could have been contraversial
and could create problems on the list. As List Hostess, part of my duties
are to keep things flowing smoothly and not to let personal feelings get in
the way of our genealogical research. Our List Owner and myself both have
an agreement that we do not tolerate 'flaming' of list members and I am
appaled that my posting of the speech created a situation that lends itself
to friction on the list.
As List Hostess, it is never my intention to create problems on
our
list. I love my position of Hostess and am terribly sorry that this has
created tension and even caused some of our list members to actually think
of leaving. For those reasons, I am truly sorry for sending the post to the
list. I appreciate the private emails from those of you who had positive
comments and thanked me for posting the speech. I also appreciate the
private emails from those of you who objected because you explained your
reasons and made me realize that I should have sent the speech to
individuals privately and not to the entire list.
With that said, let's move on to the subject of genealogy and
put this
behind us :-)
Warm Regards,
Nancy E Parr, Hostess
