> Pat,
> Jacob Shadrack Champion is my ggggg-grandfather! :-)
> There is a multitude of information on Jacob Shadrack Champion.
> I have information from a book entitled
> "Morgans of Wilcox and Clarke Counties Alabama and Allied Families"
researched and authored by Helen Morgan Akens and Sheldon LeGrande Morgan.
Library of Congress Catalogue Number 94-067187, copyrighted 1994. One of
their "Allied Families" chaptered in the book, is chapter four "The
Champion
Family."
> The section begins with Jacob's ancestors from the mid-1600's.
> Too much information to include here. Here is an exerpt from this book
that first speaks of Jacob.
> "Jacob Shadrack Champion, son of William and Tabitha (Green)Champion, was
born 1750 in Kershaw Co., SC, and married 1776 in Kershaw Co., SC, Ann
Martin. Jacob Shadrack died 12 Jun 1832 in Camden Dist, SC. Ann died 1832
in Kershaw Co., SC." Three and a half pages of information, including the
will of Jacob, follows this entry. The chapter carries on with his and
Anne's children and so on.
> Perhaps you can locate this book at your local library. I will be happy
to scan the paperwork I have and send it to you, but at the moment I am
remote, on vacation, and will not return home until Tuesday, March 28. I
have my genealogy information with me, if there is a specific question you
have, I can find it for you if you'd like. I will be checking my email
daily.

.....Rhonda the best that can figure and I have not really been able
to
prove it but Jacob Shadrack Champion was my great great grandfather. His son
John was my great grandfather, his son William Yancy Champion was my
grandfather, his son John James Champion of Jackson, Alabama was my father.
My name is Dorothy Champion Bailey and some where in the future I expect to
connect the Bailey klan to the Champion klan. I know Theny and one of her
sisters married Bailey,s but no connection yet.
Should you send out info on Jacob please if you will include me in your
transmission. I have looked for the book but it is not available here in
Texas.
My e-mail address is sbailey(a)chipshot.net
Thanks.
I tried to send this info to pat last night and could not get it to go
through.
