Hello everybody...
Well...this roll call comes at an interesting time for me. I do believe
that just yesterday, I have finally found the baptismal record my gg
grandfather, Isaac CHAMPION. There was an Isaac CHAMPION, baptised in
St. Ives on July 10, 1814, son of William and Hannah CHAMPION. He is
not on the IGI, nor any other LDS record that I can find.
Isaac married Elizabeth TREVORROW in St. Ives on 19 September 1838. His
father is listed as William, a miner. On this baptismal record, the
father, William, is listed as a miner. Isaac and Elizabeth had five
children in a village called Chyangweal, Parish of Uny Lelant. They
are...
Mary Hannah b. Feb. 3, 1839
John Trevorrow b. June 28, 1840
Alice Banfield b. Aug. 16, 1844
Martha Jane b. April 30, 1848 (my g grandmother)
William b. Jan. 13, 1850
The middle name of Mary gives me additional confidence that I have the
right one, plus he is the only Isaac CHAMPION that I can find in the
Parish of Lelant.
Does anyone have any information on this William and Hannah CHAMPION?
Best regards from Ken in Oakland, California.
