Cliff and I talked 2-1/2 hours last night. He was very, very nervous
about Ivan hitting. If it doesn't make a direct hit on Pensacola, the
area will still be the NE quadrant of the storm, which makes it the most
dangerous area to be in. He was going through emails when we talked,
and was overwhelmed with the emails of support, caring and prayers from
list members. He was truly touched. I know he'll have more to read
when he gets home. He's gone to stay with his brother 20-25 miles north
of his house. They simply did not want to evacuate to another area. If
things get really nasty, they hopefully will go to a shelter. Cliff has
his dog Oscar with him, and some shelters won't accept animals but
knowing Cliff, he'll find a place for Oscar. - shirley

You don't know how much I appreciate what you're doing. I'm getting ready
to leave for Paul's. Been up all night and think everything is as secure as
I can make it , under the circumstances. They are anticipating "severe"
damages to all structures in the strike zone and say it will pound us for a
lot of hours....even inland.
Would you write a message to all the lists, for me, thanking those who
wrote, offering help and/or prayers. I answered about 45 of them but have
run out of time and need to go. I need to help Paul finalize things there,
before the rain and TS winds start...about 9 or 10am this morning.
Everything will deteriorate fast then.
Will call you when I get a break, if the cell towers are still functioning.
Let Patty know whats going on. Tell her I've intended to answer her emails
but have been "covered up"....will do so later.
Take care and keep the prayers going up for us.
Cliff
