Hello Dave,
From a Washington Co KY GenWeb Query List, I learned the following:
In the Washington County, Kentucky Bicentennial 1792-1992 publication there
is an article on one Levi LANHAM who had a son Samuel who, in 1880, moved his
family to Shelby Co MO. Doesn't say who he married. One of his brothers,
Richard Pius LANHAM m. a LOGSDON. I note that Alice LOGSDON was a witness to
the marriage of Samuel Levi LANHAM and Martha CHAMPION in Washington Co KY in
1873.
Now I have Asberry LANHAM, Thomas LANHAM, and Levi LANHAM as possible fathers
of the Samuel who married in Washington Co in 1873 and, by 1880, was in
Indian Creek Twp, Monroe Co MO. Seems like I need to do some census work
here.
Another find (News to me, maybe not to others): There were CHAMPION
households in Indian Creek Twp, Monroe Co MO in 1860 (Mary F. CHAMPION, page
150) and in 1870 (Stephen CHAMPION, page 542). I've ordered some of these
census microfilms, and hope I can report some progress in a couple of weeks.
