Hi from Maryland,
Here is my Champion line:
My Great Great Grandparents:
James Franklin Champion (1815-1881) m. Maria(h) Polly Dorworth ( 1812-1894)
They lived in Union Township, Jefferson County, PA as recorded in the 1850
Census. Its possible my GGG/F worked his way up to PA from Virginia. Does
this name show up in any "Southern" Champion Family lines?
My Great Grandparents:
John Stephen Champion ( 1839-1902) m#1. Sara Catherine Schaffer
1851-1872), m#2 Angeline Elizabeth Kirkland ( 1854-1939) Lived in Heath
Township, Jefferson County, PA as per the 1880 Census. (Angeline Elizabeth
Kirkland was my Great Grandmother.)
My Grandparents:
Emma Malinda Champion ( 1875-1937) m. John William Greenawalt ( 1872- 1951)
They were living in Sheffield Township, Warren County, PA when Emma died.
I hope someone will recognize my GGGrandfather's name. I have hit a dead end
here.
