Thanks for replying to my querie.
I'll keep you on file in case I ever get back that far. At the moment I feel

Lynn Gardner,
Could your James Champion (b 1817) have left England for America? I have a
James Franklin Champion married to Mariah Polly Dorworth. As per the 1850
Census, they lived in Union Township, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
Long shot but I need help.

Hello all on the Champion list, I am a new subscriber to the list so bear
with if I get anything wrong.
I have hit a brick wall with my Champions in Surrey. I am stuck with STEPHEN
CHAMPION. I can't find his baptism anywhere, he doesn't appear on the IGI,
and I've checked out the Parish Records for the Godalming, Compton and
surrounding areas. His death in 1832 at age of 53 in Compton has been found
which dates his birth to around 1779/80. He married Anne BEX/BECKS in 1805
at Godalming and their children are:
Elizabeth 1807
William 1809
Frances 1810
Caroline 1811
Thomas 1815
James 1817
Eliza 1822
John 1824
Anne 1827
Emma 1830
A relative FRANCES CHAMPION was witness to his marriage in 1805.
If anyone can shed any light I'd be grateful to hear from you.

Excuse me for re-sending this message, but when I sent it I had not re-subscribe to the Champion list. If there have been any
responses to it, could you possibly re-send them to me offline.
Is anyone researching Champions in Mississippi?
I have one Jefferson Davis Champion who was born ca 1860-61 in MS. By 1903 he was in Texas, where his son Hilliard J. Champion was
born & in 1910, a son T.B. Champion was born. His wife's name is unknown. In 1916 he married Mrs. Nancy (Stewart) Robertson (born
in KY) in Young Co., TX. In the next 2 - 3 years, they moved up to McClain Co., OK. They can be found in the 1920 McClain Co. OK
census in which his age is listed as 59.
Thanks for any information that may help.

My Champion left too early to be of much help, but for what it's worth, my
Champions left from Ashford, Kent, Sandwich County in spring 1634. Perhaps
yours are kin of mine but just stayed put?
Happy hunting.

Hello,
Looking for the ancestry and family of Lemuel T. CHAMPION, who was born
NY, died aged 78 in 1898 in Chemung, Chemung Co., NY. Lemuel married
Eliza SHAWL, according to his son Jerome's death certificate. In 1860
Lemuel is in Orange, Schuyler County, NY; in 1870 in Big Flats, Chemung
Co., NY.
Thank you,
Jim Conklin
