I saw your posting to the Champion Genforum about Robert CHAMPION born
London @ 1833. I am researching a friend's family history and Robert
Champion born Middlesex, London abt 1833 is his great-grandfather. I
have just recently found Robert with his parents in Hulme, Manchester:

Robert CHAMPION – Head – Mar – 55 – Labourer Chelsea Pensioner – born
Ireland
Mary CHAMPION – Wife – Mar – 57 – Laundress – born France Adrianor??????
Robert CHAMPION – Son – 18 – Glass Warehouseman – born Middlesex, London
Robert Jnr married Mary Turner on 5 April 1855 after Banns at St Mary's
church in the Parish of Manchester. Robert gave his age as 22, a
bachelor and a Warehouseman by occupation. He was living at 6 Cecil
Street, his father was Robert Champion. Mary gave her age as 21, a
spinster of no occupation living at 22 Cobden Street. Her father was
John Turner, a packer by occupation. Witnesses were Thomas Chilton and
Emma Coulton
Is this the same Robert champion that you are researching? I do hope so
and would be very pleased to hear from you about this family.
