Clifford E. Champagne, MANCHESTER

MANCHESTER-Clifford E. Champagne, 93, of Hanover Street died
Sunday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Haverhill, Mass., the son of
Edward and Corinne (Marcelais) Champagne. He lived in Manchester most of
his life. He served in the Army during World War II. Champagne worked for
Hillsborough County Nursing Home for many years before retiring. He was a
parishioner of St. Augustin Parish. He was a member of AA and one of its
founders. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Louise (LaFrance)
Champagne of Manchester; a son, Edward Champagne of Memphis, Tenn.; a
daughter, Odie Champagne of Epsom; a stepdaughter, Eleanor Harriger of
Epsom; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and
nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. at St.
Augustin Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Donations may
be sent to Epsom Manor, 901 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom 03234.
Phaneuf Funeral Home in Manchester is in charge of the arrangements.
