Merci Richard. I will take your advice and contact Claude Jutras.
If you have any other ideas on how I could expand the tree, please let
me know.

Bonjour Lee:
I can't find any connection so far. It's too bad that you don't any more
information on the lineage going up, otherwise I could maybe pin point
the
branch. Sorry about that. There are so many Champagne branches, that
haven't been explored.
There is the Orion-Champagne branch also. Their website is:
http://www.cjutras.org/CJ00ANC2.html
You could ask Claude Jutras, maybe he can help you.
Both branches of Champagnes have inter-mingled together.

Bonjour Richard,
That is almost the extent of my French! Regrettably, I have lost it
over the years, even though French was my first language at home.
I do not know if I am part of the Beaugrand dit Champagne branch. Let
me share what I do know.
My father was Julien Champagne b. May 25, 1907 in St Mathieu d. Jan.
3,
1971 in Florida.
His father was Alfred, b. 8/8/1874 in Manchester, NH My father said he
died in 1916 in Montreal. He married Amanda Lepine 1/10/1894 in St.
Mathieu.
Alfred's father was Antoine, b. in 1821, if the 1881 census is
correct.
I am suspicious since he would have been 53 years old when Alfred
was
born. Alfred married Marie Cloutier 5/15/1872, in Manchester, NH. The
1881 Canadian census has the family living in St. Mathieu. Again, if
the census is correct, Marie would have been 40 years old when Alfred
was born!
That is all I have. Thanks so much for your help.

Salut Léo:
Your great grandfather was married to who? And are you part of the
Beaugrand dit Champagne branch.
I have a large data base on the Champagnes. Let me try and research
this.
