Edna A. Champagne, BOSCAWEN

BOSCAWEN- Edna A. Champagne, 76 died Monday at Concord Hospital. She was born in Grafton,
the daughter of Ralph and Nettie (Lord) Burley. She lived in the Penacook/Boscawen area
all her life. She graduated from Penacook High School. Champagne worked for Christian
Mutual Insurance Co. for many years before retiring. She also worked for Lun Hing
Restaurant on Fisherville Road for 30 years. She was a member of Boscawen Congregational
Church. She was past master and member of the Ezekiel Webster Grange in Boscawen.
Survivors include a son, David Champagne of Fairbanks, Alaska; two daughters, Gloria
Bressette of Belmont and Angela Wyss of Boscawen; a brother Harold Burley of Franklin;
five sisters, Marjorie Hill of Canaan, May Bernier and Lola Jones, both of Boscawen,
Shirley Wells of Loudon and Irene Noyes of Canterbury; nine grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Her husband Edwin Champagne died in
1989; and a brother, Frederick Burle!
y died previously. Calling hours will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Wendell J.
Butt Funeral Home, 42 Washington St., Penacook. Memorial services will be held tomorrow
at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. David Randlett, grandson of Edna, pastor of the
Loudon Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be held privately in Pine Grove
Cemetery in Boscawen. Memorial donations may be made to the Penacook Rescue Squad, P.O.
Box 6037, Penacook 03303.
