An old virus hoax is making the rounds yet again and because we have so
many new folks who got computers (many for the first time) this Christmas I
thought it might be worth repeating.
This one is called jdbgmgr.exe and has the icon of a gray teddy bear. This
is a legitimate file that works to make your webpages load more effectively.
Please don't remove it. But if you have already been caught by this hoax,
don't worry, it's on your Windows disc if you really need it. Chances are
you don't.
For more information please visit
http://www.symantec
com/avcenter/venc/data/ jdbgmgr.exe.file.hoax.html or email me with
questions or concerns.
I also want to remind you that since the rootsweb system won't allow html or
attachments to emails, there is no virus problem with anything that comes
from rootsweb.
Please update your virus software regularly and run lots of scans if you don
t have it scanning everything all the time.
