Viola (Brown) Chambliss passes peacefully in her 98th year of life
Viola (Brown) Chambliss

Viola Chambliss, 98, passed peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2009 in
Harrisburg.
Viola was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, Past Daughter Ruler of
Cyrenus Lodge #75 of Steelton, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and she
also loved music and singing. She was predeceased by her parents, Willie and
Mary Brown and her husband, Leroy Chambliss.
Viola leaves to celebrate her life and memory her children, Virginia
Fountain of Harrisburg, Dorothy Hall of York, Phyllis Chambliss Campbell of
Mechanicsburg, Marcia Chambliss and Elaine Mebane Spears, both of
Harrisburg, 14 grand, 22 great-grand and 10 great-great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Elk services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 5 p.m., in Hooper
Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2,
2009 at 11 a.m., with viewing at 10 a.m., at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church,
1919 N. 4th Street. Burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
