"Perry, Georgia: Services for Louise Ratterree Chamlee will be at 2 PM
Saturday in Rehoboth Baptist Church with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Chamlee, 84, died Thursday, August 19, 1999. Born in Clay County,
Florida, she was the daughter of the late Jerry L. and Minnie Spears
Ratterree. She had lived in Perry since 1962. She was a homemaker. The
widow of James Gifford Chamlee, she was a member of Rehoboth Baptist
Church.
Survivors include her children, H. Earl Chamlee and J. Russell Chamlee,
both of Perry, Bobby E. Chamlee of Auburn, Alabama, Joanne Parker of
Madison, Georgia, and Melanie Lewis of Bonaire, Georgia; brother and
sister, Donald Ratterree of Auburndale, Florida, and Pauline Tharpe of
Vienna, Georgia; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM today in Watson-Hunt
Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church Build
the Vision Fund, 2138 Highway 41 North, Perry, GA 31069."
NOTE: Mrs. Chamlee's late husband, James Gifford Chamlee, was the son
of William Jefferson Chamlee of Cherokee County, GA, who was the son of
James Chamlee, who was the son of William F. Chamlee, who was the son of
William and Dorcas Sego Chamlee; William's father was Jacob Chamlee,
born January, 1752.
