Uploaded recently to site is research on James Chamblee and Nancy Pippins
adultery case in early court. This is for all your Robert/James Chamblee
descendents who lived in Wake Co migrated to Blount Co AL areas and beyond.
I would be VERY surprised if Pippin was actually her maiden name, but it
could have been. Nancy did two supicious things......she was on tax lists and
she transferred land. Not common for a single person. She was, however, young
and thus ensued the terrible court battle over the estate of James Chamblee.
Bad for them, but good for us because they left paper trails in newspapers,
court records, dockets, minutes, etc and named places their children had
migrated to, etc. etc.
I have been in contact with really good NC Pippin researchers, and they
cannot figure out who Nancy Pippin is, who she is affililated with, etc.
Isaac Pippin is associated with her per the records, but there are multiple
Isaac Pippins in the records of Franklin, Johnston, Wake, etc. Like ALL
families, distinct naming patterns persisted in the Pippin house from
generation to generation until contemporary times.
