Just a note...
The latest version (4.0) of Personal Ancestral File (PAF) is now available
for FREE as some of you know. It will be available to purchase in 2000 for $
and will no longer be free. This is where you can get it:

Naturally I am using it and am thrilled at this program. I have been looking
for a Windows-based program for a few years. I have purchased a few but
didn't care for them, I had to do too many steps to get around or to get the
info I needed. I need to find info fast when I am talking to you via e-mail
or directly online so you will think I have your line memorized <wink>.
If you already know Paf 3.0 DOS-based, 4.0 this will be more than intuitive
for you and EASY to get around. They have added alot of new features
including multimedia (attaching all those photos you have sent me to the
ancestor's file for viewing) and a direct click to FamilySearch where you can
look up other people, check the Family History LIbrary card catalog to see
what books have been written about your ancestor, what records are available
on film, etc., and a bunch of other stuff.
This program also fixed the 2,675 files or mine that had serious damage to
them under an old program. (I had too many notes). I am a VERY happy camper
and now finally can send out some files.
Eeryone works differently, but this one is worth a try.
Wouldn't you know the program of my dreams would be FREE!
