This is great news to me.... I live just north and west of the area they are talking about
in
Alabama and I know how old the area is.....after all my Phillips ancestor Robert Phillips
first passed through the state while serving in the War of 1812, and moved his family
into
Alabama right after being released from the military ....

According to this article in the Birmingham (Alabama) news, the LDS Church
has volunteered to help an Alabama county office preserve 19th century
probate records by microfilming them. A supervisor in the office
commented, "This was just an answer to prayer. This has been just a real
blessing."
