good. I think my old one just needed updated as it had been a few months since I had
done

Yes, the "Happy 99" you got is the same executable file that so many of our
cousins got bit by last year. Never open a file with an ".exe" on the end,
ever unless you go to a reputable web site and download some shareware or
software or software patch.
Actually, the rule of thumb is download to a zip or floppy disk and then run
a virus scan. Another good thing is to have a favorite virus web site
bookmarked to check up on the latest warnings. AOL has an easy one to access.
Remember that MANY bogus warnings fly around the country at great speed.
Helps to do your own checking.
As you all know if you went to CBS, this new virus apparently doesn't use an
executable or downloaded file to get going.
Virus makers need something constructive to do with their time...like finding
their ancestors. Perhaps we can encourage them to work on the surname,
"Viral" for an interesting genealogical exercise.
