"CARL MILTON OXENREIDER, 78, a retired cement finisher, died Friday,
September 17, 1999, at home. The funeral was at 10 AM the following
Monday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth with burial at
Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Carl Milton Oxenreider was born December 6, 1920, in Sayre, Oklahoma.
He was a charter member of Edgepark United Methodist Church and was
curently a member of Westcliff United Methodist Church. He was a World
War II veteran, serving in the Army's 389th Anti-Aircraft Artillery
Battalion in the South Pacific. He was a loving and beloved husband,
father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ruth Rhodes Oxenreider
in 1972; and step-son, Gary Smitherman in 1990.
Survivors: Wife of 24 years, Sylvia, of Fort Worth; step-son and wife,
Paul and Connie Smitherman of Cleburne; daughters and husbands, Carol
Roberts and Jerry of Fort Worth, Janie Holcomb and Roger of Burleson;
step-daughters and husband, Susan and Danny Jackson of Cresson, Nancy
and Gary Wilson of Cleburne; step-daughter-in-law, Joani Smitherman of
Magnolia, AR; brother, Tom C. McGinty of Lakewood, CO; sisters, Bettie
Jane Robison and husband, Ben of Littlerock, CA; Margaret Martin of
Fresno, CA; 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; father and
mother-in-law, Sidney and Inez Sullivan* of Waldo, AR; and a number of
nieces and nephews.
*Inez is a CHAMLEE, a descendant of Jarrett Chamlee of South Carolina,
Georgia, and Arkansas.
