Looks like this William most probably is the same person in 1880, as 1920
because of the German connection, though by 1920 William made a mistake in
reporting his mother's birthplace (or someone else reported it and just
guessed) which was NOT born in Germany but Ohio. His mother spoke German so
thus the conclusion.
Thus, we can probably conclude that a Regina born OH married a Chamlee or a
Chamblee who was born in SC. Where they married is unknown, probably LA. It's
not a normal migration route from OH to SC then to LA. Charles born 1869 in
Louisiana, so the family was in Louisiana by the 1870 census though I have
not looked for them. Regina remarried to Robinson by 1880.
____________ Chamlee or Chamblee born ca 1848, South Carolina
Married Regina____________ before 1869, born in Hanover, Germany
Child: William Chamlee or Chamblee born ca 1869 in Louisiana who married
Virginia bef at least 1900.
I have not looked in 1900 or 1910 either. Some day.
