D'Ann, Please keep me in mind as you go thru the 1900/1920 census'. I am
interested in Upson, Pike, Mucogee, and Spalding counties in GA and Chambers
county in AL. Thanks for your help. John Chambley

Subject: [CHAMBLEE LIST] censuses
Hi Chamblee cousins:
Two things. I'm in the mode of going through all the 1900, 1920 censuses
(some of them for the second time). I have done the complete 1880 of all
Chamlee, Chamblee, Chambley spellings. Please ask me if you need one of
the
enumerations for 1880.
I have culled out alot of interesting stuff on the 1900, 1920. Some
descendents I have automatically e-mailed the enumerations, but quite
often I
do this late, late, at night and simply forget to contact you. There
are
fascinating things in the 1900, so please ask if you so desire.
A segue...
Most (99.9999999%) virus warnings I receive via e-mail are hoaxes.
The REAL viruses actually go undetected until you have them because
everyone
is so worried about the hoaxes. I just cleaned out another badtrans
virus
(they attach to Microsoft mail which I don't have), and I was reading
about
the "Goner" virus on AOL which disables your anti-virus
software. Clever.
Attaching just for information, the info from the AOL info center.
There are several "virus hoax" websites which are actually pretty
fascinating. Also, alot of other places to look for viruses BEFORE you
download that file. Actually, download everything from anyone, including
me,
to your zip or floppy drive, then run a scan program on that file.
I am speaking from lots of experience. If you are lazy, you pay. <smile>

PS: Requesting you not to send this via e-mail to your mailing lists which
causes it's own set of problems.

Copied from AOL virus area: KEYWORD: Virus
The "Goner" virus or worm appeared online Tuesday, December 4th for the
first
time and is currently spreading across the Internet, and we want you
to be
alerted, informed and armed with the tools needed for protection against
this
harmful virus.
You can become infected with this virus by downloading and opening an
infected document with the file ending ".scr" attached to an e-mail. The
file
purports to be a screen saver program. Once the downloaded file is
opened,
the virus takes action to disable any anti-virus or special security
software
you might have on your computer.
Note! This infected e-mail may come from, or look like it came from
someone
you know! Be alert for short e-mails that ask you to download an
attached
file. And always be cautious in downloading files from people or sources
you
do not know.
Once your computer is infected, it will spread the virus in one of two
ways.
If you use Microsoft Outlook, the virus will be automatically
e-mailed as
an
attached file to the people in your Microsoft Outlook address book.
Those
people will receive an e-mail like the sample one provided below. The
virus
can also spread via ICQ: the virus can be transmitted when you
choose to
initiate a file transfer with another person. The malicious screen saver
file
is then transferred along with the file you intended to transfer.
If you think you may have downloaded this virus, please go to one of the
sites listed below for instructions on how to remove it.
There are no known effects to the AOL software at this time.

How are you?
When I saw this screen saver, I immediately thought about you
I am in a harry, I promise you will love it!
