This one stumps me. Who is this? He married Eliza D. Stephenson per the
enumeration.
When the enumerator wrote the word "CHAMBLEY" his middle zone letters were
very small, hence, the "a" might have been a "u". Might have been
CHUMBLEY.
Soundex card said CHAMBLEY, one person's interpretation of the writing.
Intuitively I'll pick CHAMBLEY, but unsure. John M. was literate, if he was
home and reporting he might have spelled it out, but who knows.
Seems like the parents of most Chumbleys I've found came out of TN. Isn't
there a Chumbley researcher on this list?
