All you get when you request this Linda Mearse transcription is a list of names and
counties. you would need the whole file from Washington. Years ago I thought this was my
Louis but it turned out my Louis was not born until after the war.

I am confused. Below is an index of Confederates in an index in Freestone Co
TX. Isham/Isom B. Chamblee born in SC, migrated to this county. Isham's
brother, John David Chamblee migrated to Leake Co MS. Could this "Louis" be
the son of John David Chamblee, Lewis B. Chamblee? I cannot place who this
is. I'm tempted to pay to send for the file.
Anyone?
