Bill Kemp related the incident about the burned Chamblee home which was added
to this list yesterday. Today I received an account from another source. He
requested anonymity since it is heresay at this point.
"On a return trip yesterday from Zebulon noticed that the old Chamblee
residence located on old Hwy. 64, approximately one-half mile east of
Rosinburg, had burned. I mentioned this to a friend and he told me that the
rumor was that the owner of that property asked that it be burned by the fire
department. They refused because there was asbestos somewhere therein.
Shortly thereafter, it burned mysteriously. Irrespective of how or why it
burned, I just thought you might like to know that it happen."

house to have belonged to William Hardy and Ella Etta Richardson Chamblee of
Wake Co NC, near Rosinburg. (See HISTORY section for for details on the

Mildred Doris Fowler Strickland indicated to Bill Kemp this house belonged
also to Exum Anderson Chamblee, son of W.H. Chamblee.
