My father's cousin told me that Enoch Chamlee moved from GA to AR when he
was 3 years old. This would put Jarrett's departure from GA to AR in
1853.

Anne Chamlee spent a lot of time today on the US GEN WEB looking at
marriages of Cherokee County, GA (which have been neatly entered
into
the site) -- NO JARRETT CHAMLEE. He would have been about 20 years
old
in 1832 when Cherokee County was formed. I looked at adjacent Hall
County, too -- no luck (Jarrett's brother, Tilmon, married Kindness
Light in Hall Co) -- so I am back at Square One.
There are several marriages listed in Cherokee Co for people I KNOW
to
be Chamlees and the name is spelled various ways (Chumley, Chamblee,
Chambler, Chumlee --) so who knows. . .will work on this another day

I AM interested in finding out WHEN the first wife of Jarrett died
(Elizabeth __?__). If he remarried the second wife Elizabeth Powel
Jones in 1858 IN Arkansas, then the first one either died in GA or
right
after he moved to Arkansas. . .
