Sandi,
I don't recognize your names but I noticed that you have a DeRamus
marriage in your line. I also am researching both Chamblee's (Cass Co., TX
late 1800's-early 1900's) and DeRamus's (Autauga Co., AL from well before
the War Between the States to recent times). If these times and places fit
your lines please contact me at jrdixon(a)pernet.net . We may well be
connected.

Linda-
There may be a connection. Our Louise, Nellie, and Lillian Chamblee were
from Texas. I don't yet know how or why, but some moved to Alabama. They
were sisters -- Louise married a DeRamus -- they didn't have any children.
She was somewhat close in age to her niece - Lillian's daughter-- Hazel, who
was born in Texas (near the Ft. Worth area I think) around the early 1920s.
Louise and her niece Hazel lived a long time and both died in Alabama
(Birmingham area).
I don't know where Cass Co. is, but I heard stories that either Louise's
dad, or Hazel's dad was a sherriff or Ranger or something like that.
Hope we can help eachother,
