<< Hello,
I'm actually looking for help on another surname here, I hope y'all don't
mind .... too much.
My great grandmother ... Marietta Chamlee of Georgia .... married William
Turner Southard on
December 10, 1885 in Fulton Co., GA. Thanks to the Chamlee/Chamblee website
I can take that
line back to Jacob Chamlee..... but ..... I'm only one generation further
back on the
Southard.
Has anyone researching Chamlee's in Georgia run across the surname Southard?
And I'm sorry
to come into y'alls "space" but I'm desperate. Three years... and no
clues.

Hi Kathy,
Although I have no connection to Jacob's line, I kind of keep track of
postings and web sites of various Chamblee/Chamlee's. You might want to
contact Carla Wheeler Woods, back in 1997 she made a posting on Traveller
Southern Families regarding the Southard and Chamlee lines. She mentioned a
Green W. Southard born 1811, that she was looking for information. Although
her Southard and Chamlees don't appear to connect directly. I'm sure she has
researched both families in the Cherokee County, GA area. I don't have her
E-mail address, but I'm sure if you contacted either D'Ann Stoddard or Anne
Chamlee(via E-mail connection) at the Chamblee/Chamlee web site they could
put you in contact.
