I'm looking at a digital copy of the 1920 census of Itawamba County, and
finding some interesting coincidences.
Can anyone help me with this one?
p. 278B
CHAMBLEE, Charles P. (my great grandfather)
ROBERTS, General B.
ROBERTS, Early
BUCHANAN, OSCAR F.
CHAMBLEE, Wm. R. (Charles P's brother)
CHAMBLEE, Lee R. (probably Charles P and Wm R's first cousin, son of Hiram)
My question is, was there a famous Oscar Freeman? Seems more than
coincidence that this Oscar F. Buchanan lived in the midst of these
Chamblees. Oscar Freeman Chamblee was the son of the other Hiram, John's son.
Uncle Doug, this Oscar F. Buchanan was only 30 or 34 in 1920, was he still
around when you were coming up? Do you know if he was distant kin?
