This list goes through C, no Chamblee males listed
but there are a few Chamblers and Chandlers
Just to inform you less you think you were left out, I sent out a lump of e-
mail addresses to some of our cousins: (1) tell them of this list (2) let them
know of the following:
*****************************************
"A page on the Boltons who intermarried with the Chamblees in early Wake
County will be online at the web site in a few days. Robert Chamblee of Wake
Co had three daughters who married Boltons, and other Chamblees also married
Boltons. Most of the Boltons eventually migrated to Alabama.
"The information on this page is the combined research of Carla Tate and Betty
Starnes. Our research-oriented attorney Carla, has much more research than
this page can possibly show, but what will be put up should help sort out alot
of errors floating around. We are grateful she found a minute to share this.
Betty and Carla have spent thousands of dollars and thousands of hours in
archives and libraries and traveling the country to help unravel the mystery
of the Boltons.
"Please note that like all other web sites, use of the Bolton material will be
restricted. There will be a copyright notice on the page. Please honor the
copyright request on this page (and the entire Chamblee/Chamlee web site).
Please show your family good manners and e-mail one of us for permission
before you print this original resesearch and genealogy for distribution and
particularly before you put this info on your own web site.
"We would be ecstatic if you LINKED to the web site instead of copying
information from it since we keep our information updated based on research.
The best way is to BEGIN your web site AFTER our information stops and simply
link back to our site for the older generations. It's better if YOU do your
own direct-line research since you will have greater insight on your direct
family lines. "

Hope all is well, all is well!

RE: http://www.umdl.umich.edu/moa/index.html (Made in America)
Interesting site!
Making of America (MOA) is a digital library
of primary sources in American social history
from
the antebellum period through reconstruction. The
collection is particularly strong in the subject
areas
of education, psychology, American history,
sociology, religion, and science and technology.
The collection contains approximately 1,600 books
and 50,000 journal articles with 19th century
imprints. The project represents a major
collaborative endeavor in preservation and
electronic access to historical texts.
If you use the "SEARCH" key and put in words of an ancestral name. I put in
"Benjamin Bolton" up comes a court case in Arkansas and a quote from
Benjamin. (Only Carla Tate knows if this particularly Benjamin is related to
us).
The search key takes you to the scanned in document, bypassing the possibility
of typos. You can't cut & paste the text, but you can click right with your
mouse and save it.

Hello everyone,
Here is what I have on my Chamblees. I "suspect" Malinda is the
daughter of Lewis Chamblee and Mary Buriss and the sister of Isham B.
Chamblee, father of Marietta Chamblee. I am trying to prove or disprove it.
Any help is appreciated.

Put up your family line for all to see....and ask questions. That's what e-
mail lists are for.
Anything you find in records will be of interest to at least someone!
If you find interesting surname sites for our collateral lines, put those up
too! If I don't have them on the web site on the LINKS page, I'll add them.

This is definitely a CHAMBLISS line, not ours as far as I can tell. I can't
sort with my software right now for Baldwin Co,GA, but this was not a place of
heavy chamblee influx.
The given names that are repeated time and again in the Chambliss clan are:
Nathaniel, Henry, Littleton, Peter, Thomas and a few common ones like William,
Martha and Sally and James.
