I don't know that this is related but has some mystery surrounding it. I have Elmer
H. Chambers abt. 10-1882 PA mar. to Ella (Thatcher) Chambers b. abt. 1886 VA, and having
two kids Frances Chambers abt 1910 PA, and Eleanor abt. 1916 PA. I find Elmer in a 1900
census with his parents Daniel abt. 1844 PA and Hattie abt. 1847 PA and five siblings
James, John, Mary, Horner and Lucinda. I find them married in the 1930 Census Pittsburgh
with kids. Here's where the mystery sets in as I am related through the Thatchers.
Ella (or Elsie) would have been my great aunt. So I have her in a will inheriting half of
her father's estate. But between 1930 and 1934, Elmer dies. I can't find a death
certificate. Unfortunately, Ella was diagnosed with Dementia Praecox and was admitted
into the Pittsburgh City Home at Mayview. It appears she was requested a guardian (by
petition) by her Thatcher (only brother). Mind you, I don't believe she did Elmer in
because she lived with my gre!
at grandfather until he was close to death (he died in 1935). By the paperwork, it
appears that Frances (then 23) and Eleanor (then 17) were still living in the house. My
grandfather lived in ID. This is about all I know (so far) or at least about the
Chambers. Frances' and Eleanor's potential offspring would be my 2nd cousins. I
am posting a photo of Ella's brother (Al Graham Thatcher). Perhaps, you'll see a
resemblance. I may delete the photo.
