I wish I knew if I am related. I descend from a William Chambers who was in
the Shenandoah Valley with land grants in 1735. Their are also references
in the Frederick Co. records (1746-1740) to a Benj.....buying land, an
Edmund, a Joel and a Mary.
I have no idea how and if they relate. Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated....and BTW, congrats on your book.

Last Call - I'm in the process of putting the finishing touches on a new
book (Chambers Heroes: A Family History of Chambers Frontiersmen and
Military Veterans). To date, I have documented over 500 descendants from
the four Chambers brothers who settled in the Cumberland Valley of
Pennsylvania in the 1720-1730's . James in Green Spring between
Shippensburg and Carlisle, Robert in Middle Spring near
Newville/Shippensburg, Joseph in Paxton (now Fort Hunter), and Benjamin in
Chambersburg. If you descend from these lines and would like to make sure
your lineage is included, please contact me via email or respond here. I'm
particularly interested in those Chambers who are veterans of the military
(through Vietnam). I expect the book to be published before year end 2011.
Again, if you descend from the four Pennsylvania Chambers brothers and have
a military veteran in your lineage, I'd love to hear from you!
