The only thing we know is that he worked in the oil fields for Barnsdall Oil. He (William
or W.E. Chambers) must've had a life insurance policy because in 1934, an insurance
payout is shown but it couldn't be to his wife (my g-grandmother - Cordelia Oslin ??)
because she died a few months after giving birth to my grandfather - Jessie Elmer which he
later changed to Jay Edward after he was adopted by the Henegars.
I suspect William (W.E.) Chambers worked in Osage since that is where he is buried.
Possibly city of Hominy?
My problem is that I'm relying on the World Tree for this and I've found mistakes
with dates already in that info. The only source I can find is when he is 15 years old
and listed as W.E. on the 1880 census. His dad apparently is deceased in 1880 (or away at
civil war??) and his mom is listed as E. Chambers which could hold true to Elizabeth.
In 1930 I find a William E. (64 yrs old) married to a younger Roby (30 yrs old).
Don't know if this is him or not!! Possibly remarried after his wife passed away after
giving birth to their last child 22 years earlier.
I'm at a loss!
Hope you are connected!!
