The "Chambers Family" from Kent and Hertfordshire can be found in Wikipedia.
Several are knighted and the Coat-of-Arms features a chevron between three cinquefoils (5
petaled flower). A branch of this family settled in County Mayo, Ireland near Castlebar.
For about a century they lived in Kilboyne House.
I'm looking for a living male descendant of this family from branches in England or
Ireland. I would like to have him take a DNA test. Descendants from William of Llanelly
House in Wales won't work because William was really John Stepney's son (although
his descendants are famous and easy to find).
Several people have Sir Samuel Chambers on their tree but the male line seems to end.
Descendants of Abraham Chambers (Kent), Sir Thomas Chambers (Ireland), or Herfordshire
Chambers will work. It's a big family and several male lines are extant.
My intentions are to prove that the majority of Chambers from County Mayo, Ireland came
from the Argylles with the MacDonalds. Most references have their ancestors as the
Chambers from Hertfordshire.
This is the last link to prove my ancestry. Thank you for any help you can give me to
locate someone.
