You can determine if you're part of the Philip Chambers Clan or Benjamin Chambers by
simply submitting a DNA sample to the Chambers DNA project. That's how I was able to
determine I'm part of the Benjamin Chambers family instead of the Philip Chambers
line. Has opened up a whole new world of family history for me. This name pattern
doesn't seem to be Philip, however both families did share many of the same names as
were common in the Chambers line. For years I believe I was part of the Philip Chambers
because I live in the Upstate SC near Oconee. I spent much too much time on this family
trying to determine where I fit in. Problem was, as I finally found out, that I
wasn't part of this family. DNA solved the problem for me.
My cousin said we had relatives in Pickens Co. SC in the 1800's this may be them.
He also told me of the Chambers in Burke County migrating to Ky and barging down the river
to Boonesboro, Ky. He said we were cousins to this family also. So far what he and
others in the family told me has come true. My dad told my brother that we came out of
Chambersburg, Pa which we dismissed but it has come to pass that this has also come true.
I'd still be searching for my position in the Philip Chambers line if it hasn't
been for the break through I was able to obtain via the DNA Chambers project.
