Went to the state library this a.m. and found something that might interest
you.
Here's what I found on Skittlethorp:
JODIE SKITTLEHARP (note the difference in spelling) -white male-age- 29
WASHINGTON COUNTY
ANNIE SKITTLEHARP-wife-age -36
JOHN CHAMBERS-son-age-20
CETHENY CHAMBERS-daughter-age-17
ELIZABETH COOPER-daughter-15(don't know where the Cooper came from,I'm just
writing what is in the census)
EZEKEL CHAMBERS -son-age-12
EDWARD SKITTLEHARP-it says "son' but look at this-age-either 71 or79-must be
his father
WALTER SKITTLEHARP-son-age-5
LLOYD SKITTLEHARP-son- age-8 months
All of these people were born in N.C.This info came from the soundex file.
The person who did the 1920 census in Washington Co. should have been fired!
The pages were so marked out that even the lady at the library couldn't find
it. That really got her so she wrote down all the info and is going to check
on it when she gets time. >>

J. E. and Annie's marriage license state that J. E.'s father is J. W.
