This is probably a longshot, but I must ask. Were your Chambers connected in any way to
the Wilson surname?
I am trying to find out if a Josephine Chambers was related to a Minerva Wilson Windrix
who was living in Jackson Co AL in 1870. Josephine was born 1859-1860 in AL. I have
nothing else on her. She was living in the home of David Windrix and wife, Minerva Wilson
Windrix on the 1870 Jackson Co AL census. Minerva's father, William Wilson, was also
living with them.
I believe my Wilson family left York Co SC ca 1840 and moved to Walker Co GA by 1850. They
are shown on that 1850 census. By 1860, my Wilson family had moved to DeKalb Co Alabama.
DeKalb Co AL and Jackson Co AL are neighboring counties.
Sure hope there is a connection somewhere.
Thanks,
Paula
