I'm not related to the above Chambers but came across it while doing some
searching in Greenville and thought it may be of use to some Chambers cousins
out there.

William P. Chambers
The body of William Patton Chambers, 67, whose death occurred at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. J.R. Norman, 15 Maple Street, Northgate Heights, (Greenv
ille, SC), yesterday morning at 9 o�clock, will be sent by James F. Mackey &
Sons morticians to his former home in Jacksonville, Fla, this afternoon and
funeral services will be held in that city Thursday afternoon at 3:30
o�clock. Services will be conducted by Dr. W.A. Cleveland, assisted by Rev.
Johnson at Springfield Presbyterian Church and interment will be in the
family plot in Evergreen Cemetary.
Mr. Chambers was for many years manager of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass
company in Jacksonville, having retired in 1941. He moved to Greenville
three months ago. His death followed six weeks of illness.
Mr. Chambers was a member of Springfield Presbyterian Church of
Jacksonville, where he took an active interest in all phases of the work and
where he was a member of the session.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia C. Chambers and by two daughters,
Mrs. Norman and Mrs. Frank Evans.
Also surviving are two brothers, J.A. Chambers and Robert T. Chambers:
one sister Mrs. John Raines and two grandchildren.
Pending the hour of departure for Jacksonville, the body will remain at
the Mackey mortuary.
