Hi Carol,
I know we have spoken via email before. Thanks so much for this as this is
my line via Ann Gaston. What source is this and where did you happen to
find it?
BTW, I have a lot of information on lines associated with this David
Chambers. If anyone else is connected to this family, I'd love to hear from
you.

Subject: David Chambers
I am posting this as I know there are many listers who are interested
in
the history of David Chambers who married 1)Anne Gaston and 2) Sarah Sloan.
I do not descend from him, but perhaps from his nephew (research
ongoing).....
David Chambers settled north of Allentown, Penn before 1760 with his first
wife.
This settlement (Craige's) was established by a group from Somerset
Co. NJ. I believe David was the son of John Chambers, 1685-1767, who is
buried at Basking Ridge. I have additional "bits and pieces" but I have
this document: (abridged here)
I, David Chambers of the Twp of Alenstown, County of Northampton, Province
of
Pennsylvania am holden and do stand justly indebted unto His Excellency
William Franklin, Esq Governor of the Province of New Jersey.......
The condition of the obligation is suich that whereas the above-bounded
David
Chambers himself has obtained license of Marriage for himself, of one
party, and for Sarah Sloan of the other party.......
Perhaps someone's search will be better directed by the above.
