I am looking for a marriage record of my 5G-Grandfather, Nathan Chambers. I
found a record for a Nathaniel Chambers and Mary Small But this is not the
fight person. Date should be around 1790 as a son James Chambers was was
born around 1792. I have been on this trail for 2 years without success. The
family moved to KY where a daughter Elizabeth was married to Francis Godfrey
Swann in 1807, but only the father was listed as parent in the marriage
record. This family then moved to St. Claire Co. IL, and established a town
called Chambers Fort. Nathan Chambers was a Captain In the Rangers in the
War of 1912, and son James and son-in-law Francis Swann served under him. I
have lost track of the Chambers at this point but have descendants of
Francis Swann and Elizabeth Chambers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Subject: CHAMBERS MARRIAGES
Hello
What's happened to all the Chambers researchers? I hear less and less
from
you. I am beginning to wonder if I am still on the mail list.
I have found quite a few Chambers marriages in Washington and Tyrrell and
Chowan Counties of North Carolina. Would anyone be interested in me
posting
them to this list? If so, let me know. Maybe this will revive some
of
the
Chambers researchers.
